The Garden is in High Gear for Tomatoes

This is from last week. This week is even more but I'll get pictures tomorrow. Being in the middle of a room redo again has limited my gardening time.

The Transformation continues.

I pulled out some roses that had went wild (Deep red) and replaced them with some bee and hummingbird attracting and beneficial flowers.

Purple Potato Porn

While helping me harvest the bed of purple potatoes tonight my wife managed to get her hands on these.

Ingenuity and Flexibility

Bad Bees, Good Bees

These little devils caused me to use a pesticide in my yard for the first time in a couple of years. When I saw these I thought the whole colony was outside. A can and a 1/2 of wasp spray and 100-150 wasps later and they were taken care of except for the one's that were out foraging. I had to shoot quite a few of them inside my garage in the window.

I've been trying to get a picture of this guy all summer and finally got one though it isn't that good.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

The heirlooms are finally ripening. Tonight I got to have me some heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, basil, and extra virgin olive oil in a capreses salad. It has been a long summer to get to this summer favorite.

It's Pepper Time

The peppers are producing in overload mode. I wish the bells were bigger but they are producing enough to enjoy lots of garden scrambles and plenty of fajitas and stir frys for dinner.
